Your home was going to be the safe, fun, and happy place you needed when you were growing up. Your kids would be allowed to make mistakes, experience adventure, and be KIDS. 

But here you are...sitting in the echo of your reaction. Trying to figure out how to pick apart the pieces from this fight and convince your child that you didn't really mean it...again.

But none of that can even touch the thoughts that come rolling in at night.

When the lights are off, the screens are away, and it's just you and your mind racing with everything you did wrong that day.

How did you become this person? And WHY does everyone else seem to have it all together when you can barely get out of bed in the morning? 

I felt that way for most of my life. After severe childhood trauma, I had no self-worth, emotional intelligence, or capacity to take care of myself. 

I was completely lost and as a result, my life went down a dark path for a long time.
After an intense journey of healing (more on that later) and an unwavering commitment to become the best version of myself for me AND my kids, I've been able to share the tools I've learned with my children, my clients, and their children to help them become resilient, positive, and truly happy people.

I'll never forget the moment I realized my work
was truly changing my children's lives:

My daughter, Bella, was 10, and my son, Zach, was 7, we had just gotten back from a weekend camping trip.
As we were unpacking my daughter started to panic because she realized she left her favourite teddy at the campsite. She asked if she would get the bear back and I gave her an honest answer...

I don't know.

"Mummy, I feel very sad." 

As she started to cry, Zach said: 

"Mummy, don't worry, I know what to say... 

Bella, well done for noticing how you're feeling! Stay with the emotion. Juuuuust...breaaaaaathe." 

And Bella started to smile. 

And in that moment, I saw the mindfulness, emotional intelligence, courage, and resilience I've worked so hard to implement in my own life play out in these two beautiful little people.
Children who are able to sit with uncomfortable emotions, who bounce back quickly when they've experienced challenges, who are adventurous, flexible, honest with their thoughts, and most importantly...children who know their self-worth is an intrinsic part of who they are, not something to be found outside of themselves or given by someone else.

My children represent everything I was not as a child, and everything I've worked so hard to become as an adult.

You think if you just keep striving and chasing after your goals, you'll be able to reach them.

If there's one thing keeping you depressed and anxious, it's striving.

If your brain never experiences true "off time," it never has time to recharge. 

And an exhausted brain is an unproductive brain. When you keep your eyes on the prize and do nothing but race towards your goals, you'll burn out long before you get there–and hurt yourself (and others) along the way. 

When you learn the practice (and it is a practice) of non-striving, you'll notice yourself feeling lighter, fuller, more rested while achieving all of your goals without even trying.

You believe your difficult emotions–the ones that come up when bad memories flash through your brain like an unexpected, and unwanted movie trailer–are too much for you to bear.

You're worried they’ll overwhelm you and leave you spiraling when you need to be working, running errands, cooking, cleaning...literally doing anything else but feeling this way.

I don't doubt for a second that you've experienced deep pain and trauma. Probably even more than I can imagine.

The reality is, YOU are not your thoughts and you are NOT your emotions. 

They are mental and physical events that exist outside of your identity. You are capable of experiencing them, holding them, processing them, and also putting them away until you are ready to face them again. 

You're stronger than you know and with a few simple tools, you'll be able to put an end to the emotional hijacking and take the reins to your life back.

You're convinced "mindfulness" is just fluffy yoga and chanting...you can see it helping make you calmer, but there's no way it can put a dent in your anxiety and depression.

Yes, a part of mindfulness is learning to move your body and breathe deeply but there are so many more tools you have within reach to completely change your entire life.

Research shows us that our brains change after just 8 weeks of simple daily mindfulness practices. By the time I was 15, I was homeless and sleeping in parks.

After a childhood marked by abuse, torture, and abandonment, the streets were the safest place for me. These painful experiences as a young child that lasted through my adolescence left me with a level of trauma that I had no idea of how to process. 

It created a dark cloud over my entire life. I was addicted to compulsive coping behaviors, I had no idea how to be in a healthy relationship, and I had absolutely zero self-worth. 

It wasn't until I decided to quit smoking by going to a hypnotherapist that I realized there was help out there for people like me. 

My first experience with a hypnotherapist helped me quit, quite effortlessly, and opened up a whole new world for me.
That’s when I began the long journey towards healing myself and helping others do the same.

After years of seeking to understand trauma, self-care, growth, and mental health–not only was I able to become the woman I needed to be for myself, but I was able to become the mom my kids needed me to be. 

Today I practice as a Mindfulness Teacher, certified Hypnotherapist, and Master NLP practitioner to help busy professionals and parents move from feeling stressed and anxious and perhaps unsure of how to look after their mental health and wellbeing...

On average, we have 120,000 thoughts a day most of them unconscious and most of them negative.

That means that any "downtime" our brain gets–the few moments we're not looking at a screen or running over our to-do list, our minds are instantly flooded with all of our negative, unconscious thoughts anxiously whirling around in our head.
If you've never learned to create an intentional thought life, your thoughts and emotions will always feel outside of your control.

I honestly feel so overwhelmed with home and work, I don't think I have any time to do one more thing. How much time will this course take?

The outcomes of this course are not "goals" to be chased after and met, they are what happens to you when you do the work. So there is no set time, place, or way to go through this course. I'll guide you through this 8-week journey, step-by-step. Once you have a complete understanding of the practices and principles, you'll use just five to eight minutes in the morning and five to eight minutes in the evening to implement them every day. That's it!

One of the first things you'll learn is *how* to process and compartmentalise your emotions so that you are able to feel them when you're ready to, and leave them in a little box until you're ready for the next time. There are healthy and productive ways to feel your emotions, think difficult thoughts, and recall past trauma that leaves you feeling safe and in control, I'll walk you through that journey and hold your hand every step of the way.

Therapy and medication do help many people, you will have to decide what is right for you. However, this low-intervention approach is research-based and scientifically proven to change the shape and function of your brain.
We take an inclusive approach, combining therapeutic techniques with mindfulness, self-care, hypnosis, and additional psychological practices.

By implementing a simple practice, just five to eight minutes a day, you will have all of the tools you need to begin to address and overcome, your anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
